Thanks for your input. I went back to your website armed with the insight you’ve provided and I better understand what is available regarding backing tracks. In the instance of this series of posts I’ve concluded that the MP3’s etc. to do meet my needs and have found another source elsewhere. I do like the other tools you provide regarding sheet music notation etc. and will become a recurring member, I believe, going forward.

Are backing tracks available to the soloist similar to what is offered by the Music Minus One company?

Hi David and thank you for your inquiry,

Well, we are already offering accompaniment files for all VSM editions, are you asking for something different or for the rest of the repertoire such as the Hal Leonard's, Alfred's, and other publishers offering?

Please, tell me more about it.

Thanks!

All the best,

I knew to this site (today). I’m understanding that the audio files are of the particular instrument (soloist). What about the band itself, minus the soloist: are there audio files available for download - minus the soloist? Thanks.

Yes David. The accompaniment files we offer include just the accompaniment part.

For example, if you take this concerto:

https://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/score/TelemannConcertoG.html

And you scroll down to display the audio files included:

https://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/score/TelemannConcertoG.html#tab=mp3

You'll find listed the "Mp3 accompaniment track files" I am talking about.

Please, let me know if that's not what you are looking for.

Can the sheet music be transposed and printed in a different key?
reply

Thank you Valentine for your inquiry.

You can transpose any music title that includes interactive sheet music. You can see that in any item description, or even by browsing our catalog and by filtering any search or browsing results by "Filter by Format" "Interactive."

Most of the Hal Leonard repertoire allows that, and most of our own (VSM) repertoire. For VSM editions you might be limited to a 4th up and a 4th down, but keep in mind that we are always happy to transpose any piece of our own for you, in any key.

Please, let me know if you have any further questions.
