What is Interactive Sheet Music?


Interactive sheet music allows you to interact with sheet music online such as transpose the music, play the music by following the score, change the playback tempo, and more. Currently we offer interactive sheet music for most VSM and Hal Leonard titles.

To enjoy Interactive Sheet Music for VSM titles, just click the interactive sheet music button (Interactive Sheet Music Button) you find on any item's page, right on the right side of the Play Button of the top toolbar:

Try with Ode to Joy. Once there, click the interactive sheet music button (Interactive Sheet Music Button) to enjoy Interactive Sheet Music.

For Hal Leonard items, interactive sheet music is displayed directly. If the interactive viewer is not displayed and just a static sheet music image is shown instead, that means that that specific title doesn't have interactive sheet music available.

I bought "Begin The Beguine" for Easy Guitar. The page doesn't show the interactive symbol. How can I get a transposition of the song?

Hello Levine and thank you for your inquiry and recent purchase.

Unfortunately the music you have purchased is not interactive, and there is no way to transpose it. Not all the repertoire is interactive and transposable. All interactive sheet music is marked as such around the site, as well as on their description page under the "This item includes:" section.

I am afraid we are unable to help with that at the moment, so if you'd like to have a refund for your purchase, we'll be happy to help. Please, let me know if you would like that.

Hi Janet. That depends by the music you want to download. Is that a VSM or an Hal Leonard item? If you don't know, please, let me know the title or the webpage of the item you are trying to download music for.

Good question Vivienne! Actually, we didn't have interactive sheet music for that piece until now. We have just created it.

So, here is the way you can transpose that music in C:

1. Start from that piece's dedicated page:

2. Then, click the Interactive button on the toolbar (the one with the sliders), or click the link below to get to the interactive view directly:

3. Choose the instrument you wish to transpose.

4. Once the music is displayed in the interactive viewer, click the transposition button inside it (the one with the music notes and the small arrow) to transpose the music as you like, and then click the Printer button inside the same viewer to print it out transposed.

I followed your instruction. The answer is: 'our server encountered a problem while attempting to retrieve your order.’ I do not know which is the problem.
To be sure to make me understand, I specify that I received the score Temptation (7p). I registered it on my computer but it is in size PDF, then I cannot listen to the arrangement. On your site we can listen to only the 1st page. How may I make to listen to 6 other pages?

Anyway, I see what's the problem with the retireval of your music, you have purchased it probably more than 1 month ago. Please, contact our support manager Julie at:

support@virtualsheetmusic.com

Tell her that you need to retrieve your order, even though it is an old one. She'll give you a special link for that. Once you retrieve your order correctly, you'll be able to listen to the complete music. That's the way it works!

Hi Fabrizio,
I bought this score on September 8th of this year. Thus the problem does not come from there.
I cannot always display the music after having introduced my receipt number. Now I suppose that my browser does not allow it I do not use either Chrome or Firefox. At the moment I do not have time to isettle one of them. It's a pity, I shall have wanted to listen to the complete music to work it more easily.
