I used to show students this. See, I can hold my bow with without my index. I can hold my bow without my index and my third finger. I can hold my bow without my thumb. There's my thumb. Not only can I do that, but I can lift my index finger. No thumb, no index. Not only can I do that, but I can lift my third finger. You see, I'm not holding in. Have a look. If you're going to try this, please be sure there's a rug on the floor.
