So when I talk to students, especially young students, I like to ask them about colors. For example, what three colors they like the most.

Let's say, red, yellow.

So I tell them, okay, let's divide the space up between the bridge and the fingerboard into three spaces.

Now, which of your colors is the most intense? Red. Very good. This third up here is red, which is the least intense, blue. Okay, here it is over here. In the middle, well, yellow. I know. Let's just say this is forte, mental forte. Yellow. See, I begin to teach them about point of contact.
