Music ChordsMusic chords are a set of notes that are played together. They are used to create harmonies. There are many different types of chords, but the basic ones are major and minor. Here are some exmaple of major and minor chords: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When evaluating a chord, we look at the root note, the 3rd note, and the 5th note. Don't look at the key signature because it doesn't matter! For example, even though you are in a key of A major, the chord might not be an A major chord! ![]() Also, chords can be "inverted". This means that the root note is not the lowest note, but one of the other notes in the chord: ![]() ![]()
