Rating: 5 A "Goldilocks" transcription - Just Right! by realsynth * VSM MEMBER * on October 2023
Bringing the Arpeggione down to e minor not only works for the violin but frankly, it is a nice key for the cello. I know it is a matter of great pride for a cellist to play the original version but it is very hard and can sound strained. The lower version is more playable but sounds too low. This version in e minor on cello allows more of its character to come through while still having a soprano range. Probably a controversial opinion; however, I think the compromise is a good one.
