Great arrangements for quartet by Beep * VSM MEMBER * on April 2024

in the original versions, there are a number of phrases that describe what sort of weather condition is being portrayed, and for example, the sleeping drunk in another situation. It is sad to see these movements portrayed without that extra information that add character is new players are introduced to the works. I particularly like one phrase that describes the icebreaking as you step and you get that crinkly kind of crunch sound. Perhaps you should add phrases in Italian, and let people learn to look up the translations if they don’t already understand! [this review is about Concerto "Winter" (parts) included with this item]

Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall, Vivaldi's Four Seasons by Beep * VSM MEMBER * on May 2021

Vivaldi's FOUR SEASONS is a classic, known at least to the ears, of most people. Here, with the other string parts conveniently arranged for string quartet, there is simplicity in programming these beautiful pieces. I would like to see the full orchestration that includes double bass and a first violin part that is NOT the soloist's part, but meanwhile, this transcription is a wonderful edition to my library. It would be wonderful to have this arranged for four (or more ! ) cellos!
