Is there any limit in the downloaded music? How many copies can I download and print?


For the Alfred® repertoire, you are allowed to print out 1 copy of the music and it cannot be downloaded. For Virtual Sheet Music® or Hal Leonard® items instead, there are no limits and the music can be downloaded in PDF file format. We allow any personal use of our music such as:

1. Print copies of music for public performances

2. Print copies of music for personal study

3. Print copies of music for personal teaching

4. Print copies of music for any other personal purpose

We forbid only to mass download our sheet music with automated programs (mass downloading means using special programs to download hundreds of files in a matter of seconds which can overload and jam our server), resell our music in any way, modify and distribute it publicly in any way without our consent. Most of the music on VSM can be received by email by clicking the "mail" icon at the top of the shown music. If you purchased an Alfred item, we can send it over to you. Please let me know if that's the case.

I keep trying to download the free Panis Angelica’s for Flute and piano with accompaniment, but it doesn’t download. Previiously downloaded a few other items and they did fine. Can’t figure it out.

I am sorry to read that; that's actually strange. I have tried to download that piece myself, and everything seems to work correctly.

I am going to send the PDF file to you by email, but I'd like to know from you how did you try to download your PDF file. Did you click on the download button on the top of the sheet music? Or did you click the blue button underneath? Or did you put that item in your shopping cart together with other music and try to download it after checkout?

Thank you. I got the PDF now. I was still trying to get the accompaniment download. I pressed the line with “download zip for all files and midi and mp3s. I mainly want accompaniment. It wouldn’t go into my cart for some reason.

I am sorry about the Mp3 accompaniment files. I can't see why you are not getting those.

Let me try to give you some directions:

If you click the link inside the red box here:

You should get all audio files, Mp3 accompaniment files included.

Alternatively, you can display the audio files:

https://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/score/PanisAngelicusFlPf.html#tab=mp3

Then click the "Download .zip" link under the list of the Mp3 accompaniment files. That also should give you a .zip file with inside all accompaniment files.

I purchased a string orchestra score, however, when I printed it, it was not centered and cut off the sides and bottom of the notes. When I tried to print it out again, it did not allow me to do so. Please help! Thank you.

I just became a member and purchased "Black is the Color" in a what I thought was a transposed key (C minor) but it showed up as the original key (e minor). What can I do, and why did I have to buy it again in another key?

When you transpose Hal Leonard's music, you must be sure to click the Printer button at the top of the viewer to print/download it, and not the blue button at the bottom of the page. That's the only way to download or print your transposed music, otherwise, you'll always get the original, untransposed music file.

Good question Barry! You can understand that inside any music item page from the icon you see at the top-left of the item's description. The description itself also tells the name of the publisher. You can also understand that from the indexes and when you perform a search. Just look at the image on the right of each search or index result to understand the publisher.

I purchased the music, but the pdf file is password protected! Can't print out, doesn't work.

Hello Shirley and thank you for your recent purchase.

The PDF you have purchased can be absolutely printed without a password, it just cannot be modified. If you use Adobe's Acrobat or Preview (on a Mac) you shouldn't have any problems printing it out.
